Aurora

Aurora Aksnes was born on 15 June 1996 in Stavanger Norway. She is professionally known as Aurora and sometimes stylized with uppercase letters as AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves was released by the label Decca Records in May 2015 receiving great approval by music journalists and press. Half the World Away - by Oasis to accompany John Lewis' Christmas ad and Nature Boy - by Nat King Cole have already been two covers worth noting that the singer has created. Katy Perry shared a tweet in which Perry announced her new song Runaway. Make it a day to celebrate her birthday. Aurora Aksnes first musical memory was when she discovered a keyboard within her loft and being fascinated by its music. Jan Oystein Aksnes and May-Britt Aksnes urged Aurora to pursue music, not as a job or a hobby, but as an opportunity to improve. For this reason she started writing her own songs that were her own creations. As well as Bjork as well, she mentions Leonard Cohen as an influence. Her mother encouraged her to perform her songs in public, not to achieve fame, but rather in order to show others the importance of their work and what they can do for the world. When she began playing the piano, she was only six and started writing songs by the time she was nine. Her family didn't hear about it until she turned fourteen. Aurora was not a dream of her childhood. She claims that she enjoys writing music. She believes that music can help any person feel better.
